Vice-Chairman Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) Hafiz Abdur Rehman Ansari will approach the PBC against President Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) Malik Muhammad Qayyum for initiating disciplinary action against him for working against the struggle and interests of the bar and its members.

While talking to newsmen here on Thursday Hafiz said that he will send a reference against Malik in the first meeting of the PBC. He said that in the past, action was taken against former vice-chairman Pakistan Bar Council Rana Ijaz Ahmed, former president Lahore Bar Mansoor-ur-Rehman Afridi and former vice-chairman PBC Arif Chaudhry for inviting dictator in violation of resolutions of bar councils.

He said Malik Qayyum being president of a federal body is running its affairs without taking into confidence the executive members including members from other provinces. He said that at the time of meeting with the military dictator General Musharraf, secretary and vice president of SCBA were not present which shows that he did not bother to take into confidence even secretary and vice president of the bar.

He alleged that General Musharraf is enemy of the whole Muslim Ummah, killer of Afghan and Iraqi people and citizens of Waziristan and patriots of Kohlo.

He said that bar and its members are struggling from the day first against the present dictator General Pervez Musharraf but Malik Qayyum as President SCBA met Musharraf and committed a blunder eroding the unity of the bar.
